For individuals
Work that needs no legal background, and most of it can be done from home.
What you can actually do
- Correspondence. Write to people serving the sentences we are challenging, and log what comes back. For many of them it is the only post they get.
- Records and case inventory. Find and document cases from public records so a campaign is argued against a pattern rather than an anecdote.
- Local organising. Turn up, bring others, contact the people who represent you.
- Skills you already have. Translation, design, data, accounting, a van. Tell us and we will find the use.
What we ask for
Where you are, which states you can work on, which issues you care about, and roughly how much time. Nothing else.
What we will not do
We will not ask you to give legal advice, and you should not. If someone writing to you asks a legal question, pass it to us rather than answering it.
